Applicants’ income cannot exceed the following, as of June 1st, 2025, these amounts were as follows:

Screening
All applicants for Stern Village and Stern Center (Congregate) are subject to background screenings. Screenings includes landlord references, a national credit, a national criminal background check and an interview. Applicants that make it through our screening process, will be put a Wait List. (The Wait List for Stern Village is based on a Lottery.)
The THA will verify income and other applicant information. False information submitted on applications will lead to permanent rejection. If you are rejected, you will receive a letter stating why.

Housing Notice
TRUMBULL HOUSING AUTHORITY STERN VILLAGE WILL BE ACCEPTING PRE-APPLICATIONS AS OF JUNE 9TH, 2025.
All pre-applications must be postmarked by June 27th, 2025 or the first 150 pre-applications. Pre-applications received postmarked after June 27th, 2025, or after the first 150 applications, will be rejected. No applications will be accepted by hand delivery, facsimile, e-mail, or any other electronic transmission. Only ONE pre-application will be accepted for each prospective household. Duplicate pre-applications and incomplete applications will be rejected. Efficiency and one-bedroom units only.

Lottery Drawing for Stern Village
The next random lottery will take place after June 27th and all accepted letters will be mailed by July14th, 2025.
Application for Stern Center – Congregate
Applications for the Congregate are taken all year long. Once you are screened and meet the criteria, you will be put on a Wait List.
